RE Amemiya speed car

Miata_mx5 09-12-08 03:11 AM

I talked to the owner of this car when i was at 7s day at daikoku futo in july. The car is a replica of what used to be Mr.Koseki's V MAX/Wangan car before he made it the Silver 4 rotor FD3S we now know.

I have some pictures you might like.

The rear wing is RE AMEMIYA, the Hood is authentic Scoot, so is the Bumper (you can order these parts from Mr.Koseki at Scoot Sports). The wheel covers were made 1 off by Mr.Koseki, and the sideskirts are RE AMEMIYA as well. Suspension is Scoot Sports too i believe (i have bad memory), however it is not the Suspension that the silver 4 rotor has that is based off F1 Technology. I forget what engine setup he has. It is a single turbo of some sort........don't remember LOL. If you really want to know, i can call and ask.

Here are the pictures.

I can help you order that bumper if you want it.

Enjoy.

Yeah, that rear window wiper is a real god-send during those top speed runs.

You'd think for that kind of money, the hood and bumper would fit well enough to keep birds from nesting.

*shudders* look at those side skirts

RFFG 09-12-08 03:07 PM

unique indeed...

Miata_mx5 09-13-08 06:26 AM

Just thought I would update this thread. I talked to Mr.Koseki (owner of Scoot Sports) regarding the parts.

The RETAIL PRICE on the Original SCOOT Hood is 150,000 YEN. The Hood is made of FRP, and takes 2 months to make as it is made to order. The Cost (exchange rate of 104 Yen to 1 dollar) is around 1450 USD for the Scoot Hood.

The Bumper is 76,000 Yen Standard Price. Bumper is made of FRP, and takes 2 weeks to make. The bumper from Scoot is USD 730 bucks.

These prices are in line with what most aftermarket hoods go for in Japan from RE AMEMIYA/R magic/Revolution/ etc... same for the bumper.

Just thought i would set the record straight.

Thanx for giving the information to the folks out there.
Now they know the real prizes!

Sgtblue 09-13-08 09:53 PM

Yep. I know a real prize when I see it.
