Day @ the Dragon (US129)

My friend and I went up to the "tail of the dragon" on Saturday and here is a teaser video and some pictures that I snapped of our road trip. It was an awesome day and I could not believe how fast we were ripping on some of the back roads on the way there. I had a blast. Here are the pics and video.

Great photography. Great looking car too. I didn't get to see the video yet, but I'll watch it tomorrow.

NICE pics, great idea for a location for the video and how to set it up.

You really need to stay on your own side of that yellow line though.

rotarybeat1287 08-27-07 06:09 AM

I wasn't driving. lol. But I guess your right even tho it was a chicane where you could see. thanks for the compliments!

Music way too fast for a car driving way too slow.

 hahaha...

The car looks great. I'd like to see more driving though. I don't see the point of cutting the double yellow unless you're actually timing yourself especially on a road thats almost just a tourist attraction. Looks like the driver was scared to make sharp turns :p:

rotarybeat1287 08-27-07 08:13 PM

the driver could seriously out run most of the people making the cute comments as well. shitty video of a fun day out on the mountain sums it all up in a nutshell right?

but i will try to get some better footage next time of him driving on the roads closer to home. thats where he shines. also, thats my choice in music. just some funny ass music that i got off the comp. i have a hard time finding music that fits. oh well.

ALNY93R1 08-27-07 08:38 PM

Nice Vid.. The music was a bit crazy..lol

dregg100 08-27-07 11:27 PM

it always looks slower in video, when in reality he is moving right along. you guys need to hit up the dragon as its not "just a tourist attraction" its a freaking track that you dont have to pay for. and he is cutting across the yellow so he can maintain speed through the corners. that means less heat on the brakes, engine, and tires. so dont say he is going too slow until you are a mountain expert. we have them in our back yard (literaly)...

Or that he was below 4.5k 95% of the time according to the video.

RotaryBuddha 08-28-07 08:31 PM

Very nice

take into account its youtube man. im not going to pay for ultra high quality space to host my vids. i think there is a website called veo that i will try to let you get the picture.

the exhaust thats on the car is somewhat stock except a downpipe, cats, and RE-Amemiya dolphin tail exhaust. It's pretty quiet to be honest.

thanks for the compliments tho to those who gave them!:D

Circuit Theory 08-29-07 03:40 AM

I havent watched the video but my guess is he is saying 4.5k as in RPM`s not cmputer speeds...

rotarybeat1287 08-29-07 06:10 AM

oh shit really? .............................................yeah we know

Si Speed 08-29-07 04:55 PM

Ahh, I wanna take a sports car out there one day. I've ridden on it but didn't get to do anything special... I was 14 and my dad was driving his truck. :(

4WDrift 08-29-07 04:58 PM

Just got the chance to partake in the video and damn that music is crazy. i enjoyed it throughly!

ARE YOU A FUCKING IDIOT???? IT IS A PUBLIC ROAD. And moreover there have been a lot of police presence there lately. Cutting across the yellow line is asking for a fucking head on collision with a motorcycle because there are literally hundreds a day on there. Keep pulling that line crossing shit, ESPECIALLY ON THAT ROAD, and you'll end up hitting someone. If you don't have the brakes or the engine or the tires to be on that road then you shouldn't cross yellow to make up for it. Some of that footage is no more than about 10 mins from my house so I'll ask you to be careful how you drive seeing as how my family drives those roads. I'm not saying I don't cross lines, because I do. But not during the day, and definitely not at the dragon.

LOL, don't take it offensively. The footage is money, I've always wanted to take footage from outside too, I just usually do my driving at night. You must be retarded if you think hes maxing out the brakes/tires/suspension of that car on every turn in that vid or even going WOT on the straightaways...and don't bother to challenege me unless you want to drive all the way down here with your buttbuddy :) Quit watching initial D and learn how to drive bro, you and your friend are a bunch of pussies who need to cut the double yellow in order to make up for your lack of driving skill...and thats all. But once again, great vid! lol
