WinXP Emulator for Palm?
Hey folks, I'm looking for an emulator for Windows XP that'll work with the Palm pilot Rtek software. Does anybody know of such a thing?

B To get Garnett OS register here http://www.accessdevnet.com/ and then download Garnet OS. It is one of the newer versions of Palm OS available and you may install Rtek Palm Software into the Emulator. The Serial to USB adapter will recognize the ECU and will properly sync with the emulator via cable. To install the Palm software into the Emulator, place the software into your desktop and run Garnet OS. Drag and drop the software into the emulator window and it will reset itself and Rtek will appear on the screen as a usable tool. You will also need to set up the cable sync to accept USB cable signal which is located within the Emulators hotsync settings. **IMPORTANT NOTE** There are a few bugs that need to be fixed and is not recommended to use as its not reliable as of yet. You also cannot save your data logs. Please purchase a Compatible Palm Device that can be found relatively cheap on ebay. |

If you have a serial Port female to USB cable/adapter which you can purchase online for less than $25 you can connect a laptop to Rtek Software and run Garnett OS.

The "important note" is not talking about the Rtek software. |
No i didn't copy that, and yeah thanx for the clarification
the Emulator is not reliable, the rtek software is fine. Did it seem like it was copied from somewhere? I am doing a write-up on emulating the rtek software for the laptop, but i am trying to get past some data collection bugs. My C++ is lame. |
Yeah, it sounded like it should have been off our page with the "please buy a compatible palm"... lol.
What bugs are there? I do 90% of the development on the emulator. And what are you writing in C++? Just curious. |
some code that catches the data and stores it. I am still rusty at everything. On top of that I still don't know how i am going to implement it yet. Started the idea, only to get frustrated and put it off. Besides I have case files for my patients I need to finish before i start messing around with my toys again.
If i finish the Write-up ill send it to you Turbo2ltr first, so you can look it over. Its only really 60% done. |
I downloaded the source code. Looks like I need to compile the Windows-version project ey?

BDC,
Have you done any tuning with the Rtek yet? |
