Seperate Fuel Control Point for Idle?
Is it possible to add another RPM point for under 2000RPM's. I know that the 2000 point is for anything under 2000 but the idle needs a seperate fuel control point.
Maybe you can add one at 1000RPM that control 1000 RPM and under. Ed |
Yes I agree Ed.

We are already working on something to address idle fueling.
|
Cool, good to know it is in progress.
BTW Chris whats up? How's the hood working for you? Ed |
Hood is great Ed. I really like it. I put a small sing on it closing it the first couyple times, but nothing big. How is your car doing now?
Chris |
My car is now a parts car. Thats good and bad. I bought a 88AE so I swapped all my suspension and mods over to the 88AE. The 88AE has a much cleaner chassis and interior. Then I had Ben at Rotary Evolution build me a motor for it (street port, port matched manifolds, light flywheel, the works :))
|
BTW turbo2ltr Would it be possible to elaborate on what the plans are for the idle fueling and is there any timeline for it's release?
Thanks Ed |
Cool Ed, good to hear the swap worked out. Ben, yeah, when I blow my engine, that is where I will take it. It will be nice to run next to ya sometime. I am working out some minor kinks in the car right now.
On the rtek, I have had a blas working with it. And I do hope they take these suggestions and fly with them. To adjust the idle would be nice, as well the upper RPM. TTYL, Chris |
Essentially, it will be a software replacement for the trim pot under the hood.
No ETA. We are working on a lot of stuff in paralell so it's hard to say. |
Thanks, good to hear just keep us up to date.

It has you go to TUNE....ECU SETUP......where it has several new selections that are: INJECTORS, STAGING, INPUTS, OUTPUTS, GENERAL, IDLE. Hit the IDLE and then the screen also shows IDLE SETUP with a box to check called SET INITIAL SET COUPLER. Hit NEXT and it will mention if you engine is warmed up or not. IF the engine is warmed up it'll say YES and you go to NEXT. The next page tells you if the TPS is right or wrong. It should show 20percent on the screen. If not, then you adjust your TPS screw til it shows 20 percent. Once that is done hit NEXT. On the next page will will say adjust the rpms to 750 and it has a display of the current rpms. Once you set the rpms to 750 it acknowledges that and you go to NEXT. On that page it shows a slider for the voltage output of the Variable Resistor (the one in the enigne bay is now disfunctional). It tells you to slide the slider to to acheive the highest rpm. You slide that b/t voltages to acheive a proper idle. ALSO, on the Fuel Bar graph they had the first bar from zero to 512 rpms instead of whatever it is now. |
Cool, sounds much better than the current idle setup.
How did you see the prototype? Does the fuel bar graph go any higher than 6800 RPM's now? |
Hailers is beta testing the S4 NA. Things that he sees do not necessarily apply to the S4 TII.
As stated before, the N332 update will include the VarRes as analog in/software control of the VarRes. RPM range has not changed in the N332 update, though there are 4 more points in between. (14 vs 10). |
omg cool shyt i cant wait till its all done
