Rtek 2.1 ECU *inside*

Here is the inside of the stock ECU with the RTEK 2.1 installed.

You can see the traces on the back of the circuit board, the daughter board on the front and the chip.

I had to see...

Website will tell ya. A small flathead works great to pull the existing one out.

gxl90rx7 02-22-08 02:05 PM

dammit, i want a sticker

NJGreenBudd 03-04-08 09:08 PM

Yeah I found a video over there at Digital Tunings website.

Did you guys get the Digital Tuning license plate frame with the actual Rtek??

Ahhhh, that is cool. I was just being sarcastic. I found a real nice Mazda RX-7 one at the wrecker recently.

NJGreenBudd 04-12-08 01:58 PM

I found it today:

do you mean BEFORE the 2.1 update or after?

RX7 JIMMY 05-02-08 10:01 PM

after

AUGieDogie 05-02-08 10:48 PM

I noticed that I can start my car at any time with the 2.1. I love the fuel adjust for my startup. the idle adjust is really conveinent. Haven't messed with the timing or fuel curves because I'm back to stock booste. Definatly worth to$10 upgrade price. Oh and my atmo sensor works again

RX7 JIMMY 05-03-08 11:06 AM

i just got this GXL 88' and they swapped it with a turbo im sure its stock ECU cause i see it pushing 5p.s.i . im thinking of getting that chip put in. so where can i find that place where u did it cause i hear its best on those cars.

NJGreenBudd 05-04-08 08:31 AM

I have the Rtek7 Stage 2.1 ECU and my TII only pushes 5 psi, I don't believe the ECU has anything to do with how many psi your turbo makes. If your wastsgate was ported you'll need a boost controller to raise boost levels above that 5 psi mark.

The company is Digital Tuning http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=rtek7Digital tuning - Rtek7 ECU. You could have tried searching "Rtek7" on yahoo or google.

The 2.1 is capable of ruining your engine if not used correctly. I think you should do some reading on your car before you try to do anything to the car or you might end up rebuilding sooner than you think.

Settings

what are your settings for start up and hotstarts.....

Nick_d_TII 03-01-10 12:46 PM

I just pulled them down a little on the upper temp ranges. It still needs more because I flood a little when its warm, but I just use the flood clear and it fires right up... Maybe someone else has it perfected?
