rtek 2.1 with 720 +1000cc good enough for bnr stg 4?

just like title says i currently have a rtek 1.8 and its leaning out pretty bad on anything past 6psi . i have a walbro and stock FPR . s4 t2 motor stock ports . car made some how 292 on accident on 14psi lol . so im not driving the car anymore till i get this sorted out . let me know wat u guys think . cause i plan to get the 2.1 .

turbo2ltr 07-17-12 10:42 AM

The first two things I'd check, is it really 6 PSI, and is it really lean (wideband working correctly).

Lean at 6psi on a stock port and all that injector says there is something very wrong with the car, or the measurements.

bmwrx7man 07-17-12 11:43 AM

if its not 100 degrees today im gonna take it all apart again . injectors are 2 weeks old tlc perfomance ones . all new fuel lines etc .

bmwrx7man 07-17-12 11:44 AM

its not the wideband cause i can feel it driving the car . i dont even go into full boost in 4th gear anymore im scared of it just leaning out .

2.1 has datalogging so you could see what is wrong w/ your setup.

misterstyx69 07-17-12 08:51 PM

I had 1000's on my Stage 3 BNR and I had them maxed out on Duty cycle.

bmwrx7man 07-17-12 09:03 PM

ahh so 1200s? or 1600 to make my life easy? idk wat esle to check everythings hooked up right . i know my fuel pressure is good because i felt a diffrence when i changed the pump. now for these junk injector brand i got idk .

turbo2ltr 07-18-12 10:41 AM

Are you sure you have the injector impedance matched?

bmwrx7man 07-18-12 09:57 PM

injector resitor box removed these are high impendence injectors . they were fine the first week or 2 . now i think one of them is bad. im gonna take them out tommarow and see wats up . either way im gonna change them

bmwrx7man 07-20-12 10:11 AM

ok i figured out one of the injecters were junk . so i want todo the 1000cc all around . if any 1 has advice thinks its ok to do let me know i plan on ordering this weekend

turbo2ltr 07-20-12 10:35 AM

Seems like a lot of injector for a stock motor, but I'll let some other guys chime in here.

Wms10th 07-20-12 01:51 PM

I accidently saw 7 lbs(remember I'm trying to keep it under 5 lbs during break in) and my afr's were 10.9 - 11.5. and I doen't even know what kind of fuel pump that I have, I think it's a Denso.

How much more than my T04e does that BNR stage 4 blow?

bmwrx7man 07-20-12 05:49 PM

no idea but it most likely does flow more considering myne is just a hybrid . so would like to know if the rtek can handle 4x1000cc injectors

Wms10th 07-20-12 10:32 PM

I'm told it(2.1) can, you just have to compensate with adjustments. It's not as easy as it sounds if you do a thorough job of it.

bmwrx7man 07-21-12 07:39 PM

well ill do 1000 secandarys then . now for primarys im trying to figure out

dude im sure you'll be good with 750 primaries. maybe even 550's. my buddy was running a T66 precision turbo with cleaned ports on his fd with his stock primaries and 1300 secondaries. so you really dont have to go too big with primaries. especially for a stock port engine.

bmwrx7man 07-22-12 03:35 PM

how about the glse injectors the ones that are 600cc or something? im ordering the 1000cc tommarow .

rex7tuner 07-22-12 08:29 PM

if i remember correctly the gsl-se injectors are 720's?? someone needs to confirm but i think thats wut they r. hmmm

RotaryRocket88 07-23-12 12:29 AM

gsl-se injectors are 680cc. You can use them on the 720 primary settings, but your mixtures will be 6% leaner at idle and under vacuum/low RPM boost. I would suggest 720cc or 750cc to prevent a ton of tuning the vacuum cells. It's not easy to datalog those areas of the map.

720/1000 may be a little short for ~350 whp. Don't increase primary size; increase secondaries to something like 1200c if you're worried about it. That's about the largest injector controllable on an Rtek 2.x.

turbo2ltr 07-23-12 09:54 AM

Dont forget that we don't recommend using injectors more than two "steps" apart.

bmwrx7man 07-23-12 12:04 PM

well im getting a deal on 1000cc i seen people do 350 + on 1000 secondarys . im gonna be getting a meth kit too in coupe weeks . i want to make 320-350 no more . im scared of the rear plate cracking

Thats pushing the utter limits of what rtek can handle, at that range the vaf is maxed out.

bmwrx7man 07-23-12 05:36 PM

lol damm . so then should i limit it to 300whp saftly ? im not looking too boost more than 16psi or so . i will be leaving it btween 10-14 psi . i just want it to last till winter when i get a real standalone and redo my motor

t2ae 08-01-12 04:32 PM

yes, i am currently running 550cc and 1000cc injectors with a bnr stage 4. it was running great.....until the ecu took a dump lol. i am running resistors for the injectors

t2ae 08-11-12 11:00 AM

new ecu will be back next week and i have a tune date on the 31st so ill let you guys know how it is
