Rtek 1.7 in N380 ECU?
 

I've been trying to trace a running fault on my UK spec TurboII with Rtek 1.7 installed and having read the Rtek site again, I think I may have worked out whats up... :blush:

The site mentions the Rtek being good for N370 and N374 ECUs, has anyone else tried using the chip with a Euro spec N380 ECU?...

I now have a spare N374 ECU, so I may try swapping the chip to that and seeing if that removes my running issue

If anyone can definitely confirm it won't work with an N380 though, that would help me confirm that I f***ed up :lol:

As you've discovered, the Rtek is only compatible with N370 and N374 ECUs.

So I've just swapped out my N380 for an N374 and fitted the Rtek chip to that instead

Put it in the car and turn the key just to ignition and its injecting fuel (I've got the UIM off at the moment so I can see whats going on)

I was about to order Rtek for my car, but saw this thread.
I have the same 89 Euro Turbo II Convertible (LHD), so I assume that I have the same "N380" ECU version.

N380 is not compatible.

So the question is whether the N370 / N374 can be used in EU car...

Yeah I wasn't able to get it working in either the EU or JDM ECU in my car so I went back to a standard N380 and fitted a fuel cut defender as a stopgap measure
