Palm OS Emulator - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com
You can download the Palm OS Emulator(pose) from there, the problem is youre going to need to find a palm firmware .bin file to load into the emulator. That I dont believe I can legally link you to. I run pose from inside a WinXP virtual machine(vm) on my Win7x64 laptop and pass the serial port to my VM, because i could get POSE to talk to the VM since it was old winxp.

that image is for DB25s.
The Rtek only uses pins 2,3, and 5 on the DB9 so to make a null modem, you just have to swap pins 2 and 3. Radio shack has db9 null modem adapters.
Also keep in mind you cannot save maps or datalogs when running on the laptop. So I don't think anyone would want to use this as the only way to access the Rtek.

Hello from Italy, i have a little question and problem, and maybe someone with better expertise then me may guide me on the following problem.
on the car: I did swap the ecu with an rtek 2.1 v 1.2.1 al the dummy lights etc function.
on the laptop: I run windows 10
1) downloaded the pose Palm OS Emulator, and started it
2) loaded the m130 rom into it
3) with install application database installed the rtek RX7 Logger 2.1.3 Build 5
3) attached a serial to usb connector to my laptop
4) attached a null modem cable (db9f to db9f) to the serial to usb connector
5) attached the null modem cable
6) in windows under device manager i checked the com number of the serial to usb connector
7) in pose under settings > properties i selected the corresponding com port number
8) turned the ignition on (tried setting I and II)
9) on the pose i get X not connected
Can anyone guide me why its not working please, did I miss a step?
Thanks in advance

Thanks a ton for your answer!
Wonder if it is possible to simulate the rs 232 but I will leave this question to future generations.
Going to look for an old laptop or either try to work a usb to rs232 converter or buy an rs 232 adapter card if i can find one!
