speedracerchick can DRIVE

not to brag about someone but I rode with speedracerchick this weekend on the road course and there is NO DOUBT this girl has talent. She was over 130 at the end of the straight and had perfect car control in the straights. This was her first road course event and she handled it great. Any guy out there that thinks that they can beat her better have some MASSIVE horsepower under the hood because if it comes down to skill she will beat you.

Railgun 04-25-05 01:27 PM

Who was she? I didn't meet anyone. Was she in that pewter C5?

aceworks 04-25-05 01:38 PM

that is her

speedracerchick 04-25-05 01:39 PM

Thanks Tom your a cool Cat.

CyborgRyu 04-25-05 01:39 PM

ashton, the short blonde hair girl.

Railgun 04-25-05 01:40 PM

Ahhh...gotcha.

RX7goZoomZoomBoom 04-26-05 12:47 AM

yea right

I do not know how good of a driver she really was all I know is that she must not know what a point-by is. I was stuck behind her for like 5 laps I had to idle my car through the turn not to hit her. It really pissed me off, I want to know who her instructer was because he needs to be schooled.

speedracerchick 04-26-05 10:33 AM

That was my fault and i do appoligize was my first time around and i didnt make the drivers meeting. after that i figured it out.

I appoligize once again.

aceworks 04-26-05 10:44 AM

actually it kind of my fault too. I was not her instructor but I was talking to her before hand and should have filled her in. I will take some of the blame.

RX7goZoomZoomBoom 04-26-05 06:33 PM

No problem you did do very well for your first time and how massive that vette was.
But the point-by is key sometimes.

speedracerchick 04-26-05 06:55 PM

yea, i really do feel bad i made ya mad. I will remember poin-by-pass forever now lol

It was a fun day i got faster and faster.
I will be doing more and more of it.

Comptech 04-26-05 08:38 PM

She was really nice and really hot.

pluto 04-26-05 08:43 PM

Hey Ashton,
I hope that I helped you on a few turn-in and exit on some of those turns. I know that alot of students don't like me helping them steer while they're taking a turn but you seemed to be okay with it. :)

I don't care what you said about me the night before but you're cool in my books.

BTW, Alex says hi.

 DAMN! That's the tricky part!

jacobcartmill 04-27-05 04:31 PM

dude, shes in a C5 vette, its gonna be a little bit quicker around the track than alot of rx7's that were out there

Dayna 04-27-05 04:35 PM

exactly and some of you need to stop acting so surprised that a girl can actually drive.

My student in an RX-8 didn't have much trouble staying behind her other than the straight, and he was no Mario Andretti.

aceworks 04-27-05 06:12 PM

Actually before I got in the car I knew she could drive. Al ot people gave her crap aboyut being a model and thought all she was, was pretty. This girl can not only work on it but drive it. You can tell if you are a trained eye talent. If any of you were in the car you can CLEARLY see she has talent. This was her first EVER time of being on a Road Course. That Corvette is NOT easy to drive in yet she was smooth. She has some rough edges that need to be taken care of and that ihave discuss with her BUt the thread was to point out that she is not just a pretty face but a talent. I have read some of the crap guys have put on the boards on the internet about the girls. All it would take is for me to work with her on her braking zones and entry into the corners. I have a lot of respect for her.

BQuicksilver 04-27-05 06:22 PM

It was my first time as well. I'll dispute that a C5 isn't easy to drive, I'm sure it's a lot easier to go fast than it would be in a boosted car.

Railgun 04-27-05 06:31 PM

I'll second that, especially if your boost comes on too strong.

Hyperite 04-27-05 06:32 PM

Well how about some freakin' pictures, huh?

Railgun 04-27-05 06:53 PM

I've posted all I have.

ronyrx7 04-27-05 09:43 PM

ScreaminREW 04-27-05 09:59 PM

I second aceworks, speedracerchick lapped me :worship:

She should hone those skilz & go pro :bigthumb:

brando 04-27-05 10:06 PM

I was very impressed on the Saturday Night Cruise, not only can she drive, she's cool as hell!

RX8SS 04-29-05 12:20 AM

I think it was very wrong of Mike and Aaron to say no pistons and then get there and there were two Mazda piston cars on display and then let a Vette run. That is a bunch of bull and very wrong to keep out an RX7 just because it had pistons put in and then let a non RX and non rotary run.

Mike and Aaron you lied to me and let pistons in anyway regardless of your reasons.

BQuicksilver 04-29-05 07:18 AM

I bought my ticket to help a local FD owner move his ticket at the last second after blowing his engine.

Not sure why speedracerchick was there.

man make one typo........

keynote22 04-29-05 09:19 AM

speed racer chick is a spokes model. She was on the road course for promotional purposes and did not take any instruction time away from attendees.

You said "no pistons" with absolutly no exceptions

You are still a liar.

aceworks 04-29-05 10:44 AM

dude!!! that is not cool to be callin Aron a liar.

I saw what you did after they told you that you could not bring it at the Lee's Inn. That was not cool either.

I totally understand why things happened this weekend. No need for you to be this way.

keynote22 04-29-05 10:46 AM

never mind

Your lips are so gonna become permenantly attached to her ass....Jesus.

BQuicksilver 04-29-05 11:02 AM

Aron, You're sure handling this RX8SS guy better than I would have. I would have just told him I'm setting this show up, you're not invited..tough luck. Looks like you're went above and beyond trying to include cars that aren't what you or your sponsors intend to support. Though I doubt any of this will make him stop complaining.

I bought my ticket from Ceipherz (posted right above me) to help him not lose $$$ at the last minute. That's the only reason I was there.

The Rotary Revolution does not want troublemakers like you at the show. The mood was very positive until you showed up and tried to block the gate. The reason the piston cars were on the track was to help someone who payed, but couldn't run. This was a last minuite deal. Maybe if you were more mature about the whole issue they would have offered it to you. I would suggest you put your efforts to better use instead of driving halfway across the country to start trouble. I don't speak for them, but as a participant, I wouldn't want you there even if you owned the baddest rotary car around. You are a very childish person out to start trouble. Why don't you do everyone a favor and take the RX-7 emblem off of that slow piece of shit.

RrrracerX7 04-29-05 06:52 PM

LOL Ryan... too funny. As one of the piston road course participants (Spec Miata #34, silver/black) and a sponsor for all three years this event has been held, I suppose I could take offense to the comments, but I can't stop laughing long enough to be concerned.

For what it's worth, even though I drove a boinger at the event, I instructed no less than three students in rotary powered cars, and assisted many more with their particular issues during the weekend. In the 20-odd years I have been involved with rotary cars, I've owned more than that guy can count with two hands, two feet and his fly unzipped.

I would have driven one of my own (of which I currently own 8, all generations including FE, FD, FC, SA; turbo and NA), except I have a race coming up next weekend at IRP; unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make the Friday practice nor the first qual/race on Saturday, so I'll be hitting the track Sunday cold.

Thanks to Aron and Mike's generosity, I was able to shake the car down on Sunday, take some tire temps and get ready for the race; now I actually have a chance to come into IRP next Sunday and be competitive right out of the box.

You know, it takes so much to put on an event of this caliber, and to have someone bitch about such an insignificant matter... I wouldn't be suprised if weenies like this were simply not allowed to attend next year. I definitely would not blame them for removing the thorns from their sides.

We're all loyal to the rotary, but there's more than that in life. My advice would be to take a chill pill, relax and enjoy the ride... it'll be a lot smoother if you pull your foot out of your mouth.
