It makes you wonder how in the *uck can all those people in PR. Afford those turn key $60,000 + drag cars, when they are not a lot a big company with good paying jobs there. Unless I miss the MEMO so dam sing me up for a job in PR so I could have a 6 second starlet in less than a year n a whole Crüe of mechanics, tuners, chassis adjusters working for me LOL. Can some one fill me in on the big picture that I'm not seeing here?????.

Building a car in PR is not as expensive as building a car in the US (dont know about other places). Take for example, in the DC area, getting some sort of aluminum welded cost me about $115 per hour, where in PR they charge you for the job. Let me give you an example, in VA, I paid a litle over $115 to weld a simple tial BOV flange to an aluminum pipe, where in PR, that would be a $50 job TOPS!

Another example, removing and reinstalling a tranny in PR costs me $100 flat, over here is in the range of $80-$125 per hour.

Labor is much much cheaper down there, but thats not to say that building a fast car is cheap, its just cheaper down there.
