Tried my 2 step today, have a few questions about what happened.

To try it out, I used a 8,200 rpm pill in module 2 and a 3,000 rpm pill in module 1. I have two relays that cut power to my trailing coils when the 2 step is engaged.

Anyhow, I tried it out today and the rpm's were bouncing around 5K it seemed and I was able to boost around 4.5-5 psi. Is this normal for 3,000 rpm pill?

When I race, I'm going to use a 8,200 rpm pill and 8,000 rpm pill. I merely used the 3,000 rpm pill today so I wouldn't upset my neighbors too bad.

Thanks.

Are you sure the trailing was disconnected?

Yes, why do you ask? I have the relays run so that when the clutch is depressed, it cuts power to the trailing coils. I tested the relays before I hooked them up to the trailing coils. I haven't tested them afterwards but I can hear the relays clicking

I mean, it acted like it's never acted before. It was popping and making all kinds of noise. I've bounced my car off the rev limiter before and it sounded nothing like that.

Try it at higher rpm. 3K rpm is too low.

Yeah, I'll pop that 8,000 rpm pill in and see if she screams :)

My turbo doesn't start boosting until like 4,700 anyhow. Wouldn't that be a problem with running a pill so low?
