Question for RX-3 owners with 15" wheels

I have a question about front fender clearance on my RX-3. Under full compression, the outside edge of the fender is in jeopardy of being crushed by my 3 1/2" skinnies up front. There is no options for wheel offset with that narrow of wheel. After investing in a camber kit, it has helped clear the fenders at the top, however if the wheels are turned slightly, the tires will still rub further forward.
Anyone had a similar problem with their fender clearance? Re-rolling the fenders is the standard suggestion, but the car is so pristine, I hate to chop it up. Has anyone out there faced the same problem? and how did you handle it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Megabridge

If there 4 bolt i had bogart wheels build me a 3.5 x 15 with a 3'' back space and they tuck in and clear!

Thanks for the advise! My biggest problem is pulling the trigger too early on purchasing my wheels. I bought the rear end as a package deal w/centerlines. In keeping with the era of the car, I wanted to keep the same wheel pattern front and back. The style are the brushed aluminum auto drags. So I'm stuck with my dilemma and not sure if there is anything I can do short of cutting the fender wells a bit. Anybody else got any ideas??

Make custom lower control arms and track rods to narrow the front track or get a strange lower control arm kit and use that. Then use your camber caster plates to get the camber where it should be. And try to maximize the caster at the same time, it will be much more stable on the big end.

^ thats exactly what Im doing, but im keeping my sway bar instead.... Here are some pics of the Rx2 setup, i'll be increasing the track by 1" and adding some more caster by moving the outer balljoint area 1/4" forward.. I also opted to use 1st gen balljoints because coilovers, bearings, t2 brakes etc would be easier to get in the future than Rx2/Rx3 stuff...
For my Rx3 im basically going with the same setup except the incease track because she'll be wearing skinnys.. Both cars do have Noltec camber/castor plates to further help with alignment..
Weight will be a little lighter than stock arms and Im using 1"x .120" walled DOM tubing to join the machined mild steel bits. I think it's alot better than cutting the front portion of the fenders

Thanks Allen,
Nice setup, but is's not exactly "street" oriented ... I'm going to test this setup first then have my Machinist do a set in Aluminum for the Rx2.. There's also a way to run T2 front struts, spindle etc but its an overkill for these cars

Centerlines are pretty common. I think it would be easier to trade or sell the one's you have and buy the correct one's with 3" backspace. You don't want to Jimmy rig your nice rx3 and start cutting it up and it will be alot of time and money to change your suspension. Just my .02, good luck.

Yeah, Centerlines are pretty common. What's not common about them is that they are 4 x 4.50 bolt pattern. Been shopping for various brand wheels, but haven't found anything that is 15 x 3 1/2" with the offset I need.

weld wheels,hehe

sounds like you have 4 inch back spacing, I had some convo pros for a while on my old rx3, they did stick out also.....PS: dont cut the fenders, get other wheels with 3.5bs
