Pics of turbo carb setup

I know this is a little old school set up like this but it's going in a VW. I know it's been done but can't really find any setups and see what some guys did. Yes, I can go efi because it will be easier to tune but I don't want too lol. Probably cost more also and not sure if I want to go that far right now.

Thinking of a setup

13b built
4 barrel either Holley or demon carb turbo prep
Msd ignition with distributor
Msd Boost retard
Wide band
T4 turbo maybe 6262 precision

Is their anything else that will need to be done besides engine be built etc?

It's easy to spend the same amount on a blow-through carb set up as it is EFI... Depending on what you already have laying around of course. I'm setting up a blow-through 12a right now with 51mm Webers. Which is a pain in the ass and there really isn't much info out there on it. Main reason I chose Webers is because I had them, and it's in a 73 Rx2 so I wanted to keep it old school.

Anyways... If budget is your main reason for wanting blow-through. Put it on paper and do the math. It might be close enough to go EFI.

also... MSD Distributor. Never made for 12a/13b. Unless your doing some machining to get one to work.

It all depends on what u prefer and in what u have experience with , u can easily make descent power on a holley set up and u can pick one up just about any where for less that $200 , I'm sure there aren't many people still trying to stay blowthru and pushing there set up to the limits
I'm close to braking 600rwhp on 23psi on a mustang dyno , I could have gone higher but I need to change the wastegate spring , another thing is if u know what your doing u don't need someone else to come and tune your set up ,

If u need more info on how to tune a Holley go to
Theturboforums They have all the info you would needi
Thanks
Julio
