elturbonitroso 11-03-13 06:39 PM

Puerto rico does it better

rotorican85 11-03-13 07:49 PM

Australian aint got a damn thing anymore!! That 6.27 is way far for them at this point!!

Pa'lante los boricuas!!!

Samito Built 11-03-13 08:14 PM

Looks like a pro mod at this point! Puerto rico > Pac = Puerto Rico does it better!
Where not far away from the 2jz power which I never knew this day would come...

joeylyrech 11-03-13 08:24 PM

I think that australians have a lot 2 do with the record...........remember POWERED BY MICROTECH!
The ecu that everybody talks shit about but thanks 2 it this was possible.

ultimatejay 11-03-13 08:38 PM

Congrats to New Generation but you guys are ignorant. PAC still has the fastest car at 222mph. All they have to do is cut a good 60ft and they will run 6.1's. PAC has a legitimate business and doesn't spend a tenth of the time at the track testing like PR does. I don't know how they can spend so much time testing and renting out tracks and shopping there cars here and there and have a 8-5 job. Someone care to explain?

Why is there a need to worry about the backing of the team, I get what you are saying and implying but there is no need. The team comes to the track and makes an amazing pass and sets a record, let people celebrate the accomplishments of fellow country man and enjoy their time. This is what their main sport consists of, they take it very seriously. There is no need to tarnish the accomplishment of the team because it doesn't matter where the backing came from, be it legit or not, it's set. The car doesn't run on drugs and it doesn't make the driver better.
Let Australia reclaim the record on the track not by looking down on them.

vrx8 11-03-13 09:08 PM

^^^ Amen.

Holton713BRE 11-03-13 09:15 PM

How about that 2nd gear wheel stand to almost the 1/8 mile! Now that's some power right there!

Gorilla RE 11-03-13 09:39 PM

I couldn't care less about the Australia vs.Puerto Rico battle. My biggest concern is the E. Kanoo 2JZ/import world record. That needs to fall to a rotary powered car.

I'm not implying anything just wondering how they do it.
And just like I'm not trying to take anything away from their accomplishments, all these idiots talking smack on PAC need to realize they run a legitimate business and run very little track time compared to PR so they have done a lot too.
Awesome run though. Remember we are racing against 2jz not against each other

I refraing from saying things like my peeps have mentioned, but you have to remember that we pricans are extremely proud people; hence the in your face comments.

The other things is, you are 100% wrong in your assumptions that they are not racing each other. You need to live in PR in other to understand... Since all they do is rotary engines (well most of it), they are in fact racing each other; and by default that includes anybody else that races a rotary engine. Its not personal, its just bussines, add the proud thing, and you get a recipe for somebody that sounds like a prick.

Most of this car owners have or run a legitimate business and is not there fault that they live on a small island paradise that have nice weather all year round,it will be stupid for them not use this in order 2 tune and adjust the cars.
Most of this teams, car owners, crew members are automotive technician, big towing services owners, airliners, shipping industry people, architects, politics, music stars, doctors and MAZDA CERTIFIED ROTARY TECHS BACK UP AND SPONSORED BY CARIBE MAZDA OF PR(BIGGEST MAZDA DEALER ON THE CARIBE)
Guys like
Siguel Racing
Moncho Performance
Gaby Skern
Rafaelito
Betun
Lazcano Racing
2 mention just a few run legitimate business and ship and travel WORLDWIDE 2 take care of customers............not 2 mention all the sponsors that finally have jump in 2 help them out.
They have the record not PAC so people get over it!
and like i said the record belongs 2 them thanks 2 the help and support of a AUSTRALIAN COMPANY.
MICROTECH EFI!
so i have nothing bad 2 say about my mates!

Mike,

Yes, I'm aware. But we are chasing it at a pretty good pace. 6 months ago the record was 6.23@227. Don't get me wrong, 6.15@230 is absolutely insane on a 10.5 car. You can really see the horse power gap with the 2jz traping 230mph but I think we'll get the there ;)

Grant M 11-04-13 12:49 PM

What ever the backing and who ever from...... That record got smashed not broken SMASHED.

Congratulations too everyone

Rafaelito pulled a 7.0 hitting the brakes aroung the 1000ft mark AND pulling the chutes. It also ran 6.8 @ a160mph...

Something tells me that there will soon be a new record for the 13B

R_PROWESS 11-04-13 06:26 PM

isn't this faster than the fastest lsx record holder?

joeylyrech 11-04-13 06:57 PM

Well 2nite team pr is doing some more testings at MIR and Camila starlet,MIB datsun and Sarita starlet just ran 6 second passes one after the other.
