Can someone explain how/why these would not be good for drag racing? Also how would a lighter rotor cause you to lose torque?

For road racing its different because you can't always stay in the perfect power range but you want to atleast be able to get up to it as quick as possible and that where the lighter internals would help. Think of it as just a heavy car vs light car having the exact same shape to have the same drag coefficient and also traveling at the exact same speed say about 60mph. The heavier one having more inertia, will stop later than the lighter one. |
Just a thought swimming in my head, Let's say you build 4 rotor using your billet Rotors. Since the rotors are not hollow like oem mazda,can you technically run this setup on a stock oil pump and not use the racing oil pump that mazda sells for like $3000:(?

I wouldn't... I think it shouldn't be a problem,stock oil pump was good enough for 20b's. so i don't think an extra rotor is gonna hurt at all. I mean Think about it,billet rotors are not hollow for cooling like stock one's. which means oil pressure is not wasted on filling in those rotors.:icon_tup: |
