It contains (keep inside) the pieces of clutch/pressure plate/flywheel in the event of a failure.

Glad the t2 housing is a bolt on affair now ,
Ps Paul Carey's explosion in the vid above is only the burst panel on the inlet manifold , supercharger backfire , he put a new one on and raced again

Started putting things together tonight. Picked up my refreshed/rebuilt Turbo2 trans from Goopy Performance with 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear Gearing upgrades. Little by little I am putting it all back together.

Make sure to check it for flatness. I just had one of their bellhousings on a "problem car" and the trans mounting face was all warped to hell. It was concentric but it was nowhere near flat or parallel, it was up to .025" off in spots. Ended up machining it flat, and then shimming it on the engine to bring it to parallel.

Thanks for the heads-up! I will check the trans-to-Bell and Bell-to-engine surfaces.

Yeah. Cosmo size secondary ports. And while rebuilding the Transmission, we decided to UP the gearing on 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. Higher gearing on an H-Pattern car will help 60ft. times.

Few Updates

finally, engine is all together. I need to modify my charge pipes a bit after installing the new Pro-Jay intake. Fuel Injectors were sent out for flow/ultra-sonic cleaning. And engine is back. Fitttings, some wiring, fluids and possibly a small polish on the tune. Then we're ready to go.
