Need help, 20B,t56,700 ft lbs, which rear end?

I am thinking about the 8.8, 9", or the cobra setup. I dont want an all out drag car but need something that can handle the torque. Any ideas or suggestions?

I dont think the kaaz in the stock pumpkin can take the beating.

I would check with turbotommy since he is launching a 20b hard it would be more than enough for you since you dont want an all out drag set up.

If you don't want problems of breakage- Ford 9". If you want problems with breakage- IRS

I am thinking of the 9" but dont want the car to handle like shit. Has anyone put a 9" in an FD?

I have scene a couple on here and they were strait drag cars only. I would do the 8.8 solid over the 9 based on price-parts. As far as the 8.8 irs I would guess there is a weak link since you see all moded cobras having these pulled out.

Put the Cobra diff in the car. Maintains irs, you won't break it, all the info about the swap is out there to do it yourself and there may even be some cradles still available. Check out http://www.norotors.com/index.php

8.8 solid axle, a bit needs to be done to make it right. Not much room up top for the right length of upper control arms if you plan on doing a 4 link. So, to build it correctly, you’ll need to cut the floor and make some boxes into the rear bins. My old setup had very short uppers so we couldn’t setup the 4 link correctly therefore couldn’t get it to hook right. Good thing about the 8.8 is, you won’t need to narrow it. It comes stock with the correct length. Another thing, make sure you get heim joints with bushings. Mine were solid which made driving horribly loud.
