Help with 2 step switch

Ok so Im bout to hook up my 2 step option on my microtech and I kno it's been covered on here before but one question was never answered clearly Im thinking bout hooking it up to my clutch switch now the question I have before I hook up the clutch switch up which I'll prolly do tonight is if i set a rev lim to activate with the clutch switch wouldn't that rev lim be activated everytime i shift which would prolly be past my the limit set? Can someone shed some light on this or have any other suggestions?

To set it up on a clutch pedal it only activates at launch when you fully depress the clutch pedal down. When your shifting between gears you don't fully depress your clutch down anyways so it doesn't activate the 2 step. You'll be able to play with the timing of your engagement of the clutch with the rod that goes to the clutch master and also adjust the switch so that you have to have the clutch to the floor to engage it.

One of the OG members lupe? Viking War Hammer? did this, and posted a hilarious video of him 2-stepping everytime he switched gears.

Advised against, as there are too much things going on in a 10 second pass you need to be aware of, pushing down the clutch just enough so you don't trigger the 2 step is not something that is worth it.

I have mine switching off the clutch pedal, it's not a problem at all switching gears don't worry about it. I did no extra adjustments too. Only problem is the car is harder to start when cold with the clutch pushed in cause it turns off the trailing coils and my car won't start cold with clutch in.

My starter wire bypasses the pedal so I can start it without the clutch and also so the remote starter works. And it just sets a lower rev limiter so when you switch gears you're off the gas and the rpms are dropping so the 2 step rev limiter doesn't matter..

Add a relay and a switch or button. Push clutch in hit button as soon as clutch comes out 2 step deactivated. Other option is run off a speed sensor to cut.
If you search my name we had a big thread on this years back.

Hey this is also something i am curious about. In my subaru i had my 2 step hooked up to my clutch switch but the ECU also had to see less then 5mph(you can set to anything) in order to activate it. Is there a way to do that with these cars?

Haltech Sport and Elite have this as part of the launch control function. Syvecs as well. Not sure on other systems.
