Anyone tried this stuff?

The Honda guys use it. No use for us as its like $30/gal. More useful in an all motor set up.

And there claiming it increases HP by 10%.

mazda2211 10-02-12 05:55 PM

But not only Honda guys I seen a 1.8 make a lot more power compared to e85

justturbo2 10-02-12 07:35 PM

suppose to be good stuff. with the cost of $33 a gallon. 10% increase in power.
makes 10% more than e98. tony at t1 tested it and many others.
at $33 a gallon, i doubt a lot of us are going to use it

I would thinks its worth it to try to get that extra tenth of a second. Cool to see they come up with new ideas everyday.

I have not used it on my rx7 yet..... but i used it on a kseries a/m civic few weeks ago went from 229hp to 251hp just with fuel change.... gains were all over the powerband, so it works $30 a gal doesnt work with most people :)

RXTASY57 10-04-12 12:46 PM

Interesting...wonder what the anti knock properties are?
At $30 a gallon, it would cost at least $60 just to get it tuned!
Think I will stick with my corn!

ultimatejay 10-04-12 02:52 PM

Probably has nitro in it. How can it produce that much power?

C. Ludwig 10-04-12 04:34 PM

Oxygenated. Similar to Q16 and all the other heavily oxygenated fuels. The chemistry of the fuel carries O2 molecules into the chamber along with the fuel. 10-15% gains are not unheard of.
