E85 or just lucky

I relocated my ls1 coils about six weeks ago.I had to switch up the wire/coil locations on the new coil mounts.I thought I wired it so my leading coils were on the outside of my coil mount.I took the crap wagon out last night to check ignition timing and to my suprise I found I had the trailing spark plug wire on my leading and my leading spark plug wire on my trailing.I also found that once I zero out my timing the Haltech e8 was about 10 degrees reatrded.I added ten degrees of ignition trim to all four ignition outputs.until I put this car back on the track I will not be able to see the improvement, but man it seems to run like three mother f'ers.this thing should have spit all the apex seals out of it.with the wires backwards it still went 10.32@126.it rattled once so I added more fuel and ran it again.is it the e85with low boost 19 psi,the 15 degrees flat split map,or the rotary aveation super seals.should I buy a lotary ticket?

Have you checked the compression since than ? I've heard those rotary aviation seals take a heck of a beating in some cases severe detonation and will not brake , but they bend and looses compression. Ken scheepers runs them and he cross the trailing 1 and 2 and had a severe detonation and cracked the steel and the apex seals were still intack.

That must have happened right after you replaced the spark plugs eh? Well, at least you found the rattling problem. Did you say you ran a zero split? if so that is probably what saved you.

It still starts fine

I have not done a compresion test,it starts fine and runs fine.I think the wires have been crossed sence I have moved the coils.I am going to buy lottery tickets tonight.:)

if you win 10 million send me your car for freeeeeee!

So as jay asked were you running zero split?

I am running a flat 15 degree flat map.after you guys zero your timing do you check your accual timing?I did this the other night, and found the Haltech was about 10 degrees retarded.I just assumed it would be right.after I zeroed the timing I checked it to accual running timing.at idle it was suppost to be at 30 degrees advance and it was at 20 degrees.this is why you have ignition trim.still learning this stand alone engine management, hang on to your hats when I figure this one out.I wonder if the top tuners check this when a engine management system is already installed?maybe one day I will be an avrage tuner.when I am confident with my tuning abilitys (not my spelling abilitys)I would help any of my rotary brothers out for a big-mac,fries and a coke.it's not about the money, one day it will be about what I have done, and what I can do to help a brother out!!!!!!!!!:)

I here ya man... I tuned my last engine and lost it by a silly era at the track.. So this current motor I had Ray Wilson (PFS) come down.

I swaped to a AEM unit last year and the timing was off. Could never quit get it right so I went back to the old trusty PFC and I did confirm timing on it. The AEM was 10 degrees off. I shimmed the crank sensor but nothing ever worked.
