Oh the dyno can lie easy , the track can't ! Bullshit stops when the light drops ! .. :)

Bacon 12-15-13 08:15 PM

Yea all they dyno does is lie, mph and weight tells the truth

Saw girls at the track last month wearing shirts saying "what's your dyno sheet trap?"

To many people care about a dyno # and what a internet calculator says it should do, but never back any of it up

Couldn't have said it any better....

One example......
my sons friend has a 875HP POOPRA and can only run high 11's low 12's

YET

my FD with 370HP ran consistant 11.3's all day.....

Things that make you go HHHMMMM !!!!

Hahah dynos lie hit the track and let me see some trap speed

there are so many variables going on,a dyno should be used as a tuning tool, but you can plug in different numbers on the dyno and get your big H.P.#,the track doesn't tell it all either,i see the honda guys run decent trap speeds, but the cars are spinning the tires the first 1/3 rd of the track,so big hp is nothing without the traction to use it,now one friend in Hi ran low 9's on 380 whp because of traction,he didn't need big hp to run a great #.

It's more about trap speed than e.t., 10.5 @ 118 is much different than 10.5 @ 130, horsepower wise anyway..

370HP 15psi I ran 11.90 and I am a horrible driver, had Len been driving I bet an easy 11.50

peejay 01-04-14 08:12 AM

After operating a dyno a few times, I learned how EASY it is to make inflated numbers. I picked up over 10% by changing the RPM/second. At least I think it was 10%... might have been 20%. Anyway the difference was shocking!

.4 that's all I'm good for!?!?! Lol Smh what was the mph of that 11.90? When I took her for a test drive it felt like a 11.0 car to me Lol sorry as we all know et measurement from point a to b Trap speed and actual weight =hp
