It's installed and working, but should I do any type of tuning or anything before I use it? Don't want to break anything first time down the track with it because I used it prematurely.

I'm on the stock motor/turbo/ECU/ect... Going to set it at 6k for the launch and hopefully will get 10psi at the line.

Trying to hit 12's basically stock before I upgrade further.

wicked, this is going to be fun to watch, i cant say ive ever heard of two step being used on a stock setup before, im super keen to see vids and to find out your results, :boink:

So, its safe to use it without making any changes? I'm sure there's other crazy people out there lie me using it on a stock set-up.

I'll post a vid up when I fire it off. Gonna try it out at lower RPM's to be sure its safe... Then raise it up.

^not sure of your question...but

I have an MSD 6al on the leading with a MSD 2-step. And two solenoids to cut the trailing out when it activates.

I will activate it by a push button I mounted on the steering wheel so it dosnt activate when I shift.

sorry, i usually post stuff that don't make sense. I meant to ask if you had a 6al or a digital 6. I have been asking around how to wire up a digital 6 but i cant ever get an easy answerer, i get lost in the relay/trailing coils part.

all i could suggest is to check your timing is spot on, chuck in some fresh plugs, give it some good gas in the tank and go give it hell. Not much to be done on a stock combo i suppose . Also if you have a catalytic converter remove it , it will melt the insides of it and could block your exhaust .

Got the 6al back from MSD now, it was bad and had to have it repaired. I finally tried it out, and it "kinda" works...

I must of did something wrong. I have the activation button for it on the steering wheel. So i had the car idling and pressed it, it then turned off all 3 places I was watching my RPM. SAFC NEO, digital RPM gauge, and stock gauge. Which I figured would happened because I am turning off the trailing coil, which gives the RPM signal to all of those?

I turned down the adjust-a-chip pill to about 3k RPM and tried it out, It sounds like it worked to me. But couldnt really tell since I had no way to read my RPM. But sure sounded like a 2 step at a little over 3k rpm.

But the real problem is, when I release the button the car shuts off. But then i can restart it no problem...

I'll be making a thread about this here, so maybe so of you pros have an idea as of what I did wrong, or a way to fix this.
