Emails and postings on Facebook have been made to show support and try to keep it alive.
Myself an others had a idea and sent a email to Rob Dyrdek in regards to the track and how it woul be a good investment for him and his company as well as monster banging it for motorsports events skating venues etc along with the drag and even scca cone courses.

This is one of the main reasons why local tracks close. Guys like you never bring their cars to the events. If no one shows up, then they are forced to close down just like any other business. Thanks alot. And that's a great idea- Lets go street racing and get arrested and car impounded and license taken away for 20 buck side bet- Really bright idea Einstein. :icon_tup:

don't hate the player, hate the game. i won over 30 local IDRC, NHRA, NOPI, BOTI races in the import racing heyday, many against big money players... however i won lots of big trophy's, a wally too ...., got paid most of the time (frank choi, cough, cough still owes me and many others... ) i got paid $$$ on contingency numerous times but i made the real money street racing... you say $20.00?lol!!! the average streetrace is at least 7-12K per side, sometimes more .. big payout and you only need to run one time..... real adrenalin .....all the bad stuff you mentioned can and does happen sometimes but that's part of the thrill.... something you will never know... all this was achieved on a very small budget with junk parts unlike you, the money ultimate money pit!!!!! dont worry, waste enough money and eventually, you might go fast ;)

p.s. the track closure was not about how many people attend, the owner was being greedy. the track will reopen, no worries :) better deal, new management.

S@nt0s 02-18-12 12:32 PM

That's fine and dandy you do that but some of us rather not risk the warefare of our family and homes for a $ race on the street. Nothing against you or anyone who does but not my thing. At the end of the day I'm all about the time slip.
Yes all this started on the street and grew but that doesn't mean we need to keep it there.
And yea the track will be opened again and if not we will go to others either way I invite you to bring this car of yours out to play with us track guys

Yeah, Choi owes me and many others money too. hehe. I don't know how that guys still has all his fingers. LOL

My main point is we need more support from guys like you and everyone else. I heard your all motor car has been done for a long time but you don't bring it out. Why? Come on out and have fun with us. The rotary community is a small group and if we wan't to have tracks for us and our children in the future then we need to bring our cars out there or pretty soon there will be nowhere to race. I don't care if your car is faster than mine or someone elses. Just like Santos said, I race for my own timeslip and am after my own set of goals. I know guys like you and Rene have their own shops. This is a perfect opportunity to promote your products and drum up more business for you. I get at least one or two people come up to me everytime I race and ask if I can build a motor for them and I turn them down because I don't have the time as I have a full time job wrenching. You guys are crazy not to come out and put banners and race your cars and promote your shop and products!

Hope to see you at a track soon and Albert, Steve, Eric and the list goes on and on. I know the economy is not the greatest but if you can swing it and have a running car bring em out guys. :icon_tup:

You guys have been getting the worst of the worst. However I hope all goes well and you guys get a track to run and show those time slips.

Well I can speak for a few
My 240 will be there
My dads corolla
Karlys corolla just got efi and tune is coming next month he will be there
510 is running but fixing some issues with new set up.
The rest I dont know but we will be there to support our local track and to break a few hearts down the strip.
Let's see if all these "fast" rotors come out the wood work and come play!
