Walbro 255 install

I'm going EFI in a formerly carbed vehicle. What is a good 'size' fuse to use on my Walbro 255? There is nothing in the instruction sheet indicating fuse rating. I searched the forum but didn't find an answer. Thanks.

I was told to use a 20 amp or possibly a 25 amp fuse. Thanks mysterious helper! :)

The fuse that comes with E6K's is a 20amp. I'd guess that pump draws ~10 amps under load? 20 amp fuse should be more than enough I'd guess.

I'm really only worried about the wire I ran back to the pump shorting or whatever. I just didn't know what the recommended fuse rating was for the Walbro. RETed said the Walbro's peak amperage is like 20, so perhaps a 25 would be better? At least a 25 has a thicker conductor. If I can find a 25 amp fuse in my pile, I'll use it. Otherwise I'll go with a 20 (or possibly a 30, heh).

Wow, 20 A from that little sucker?

True, the bigger the fuse the larger the conductor it is. Sounds like you got it figured out.
