Vacuum manifold block - anyone tried them?

My buddy has used one of these on his 2nd Gen MR2 - said it REALLY cleaned up the engine bay. Instead of all sorts of tapped vacuum lines, you simply have one that feeds the block, pull anything else you need off of it.

I could see this being not as effective if you're running the stock smog setup - as I seem to recall there are differing vacuum draws for different systems - is that correct?

I'm thinking that this might be good for a wire tuck / engine cleaning tool. Was wondering if anyone here has experience with them / pictures of their setup.

I've used these (not those specifically) before. It works well in most cars. I love how they clean up the bay, especially if you close up all the unused ports. But I found that the larger blocks that have more internal volume work WAY better. They hold a stronger vacuum then just a simple block (especially in cars with ITB's and carb's). Just some info to keep in mind.
