twin 16g's or t-70?

I have a t-70 on my car right now, and I want something that will spool faster but will still be able to produce alot of power (about 550-600hp at around 25-30psi). The t-70 is great, and it makes alot of power, but on the street it just isnt as fun, but I still want to have the horsepower bragging rights. I have also entertained the idea of adding a centrifugal supercharger that blows into the inlet of the turbo with a type of dual butterfly valve that closes the supercharger and opens the turbo intake freely when the car hits a certain boost level, but that would be complicated and expensive, but it would be pretty bad ass if it worked. anyway, what kind of advice do you have for me. I have seen 300zx's with upwards of 550hp with twin 16g's but I don't know how fast they spool.

thanks,
john

???? i think the exhuast side will be a little small, with the twins. i'm sure more will chime in...

anyone?

I'm not sure if you have your car set up correctly, as even a good street NA setup will accelerate the car well, despite the fact that there is infinite lag. ;)

Centrifugal supercharges don't make their max boost level until they get near redline. Your idea would most likely make the car even more sluggish off the line, although it would look pretty cool.

ok, but what do you think about the 16gs?

The small TD05H-16G's are not capable of replicating your current boost levels. The large TD05H-16G's would probably produce your desired boost and flow rate, but they would have to spool up to over 138,000rpm to hold a 2.8 PR, while your current T70 can produce a 2.8 PR as low as 80,000rpm, and can hold that PR all the way to its flow limit without exceeding 106,000rpm. I guess it all depends if the large TD05H-16G's can spool quickly enough to make up for the better low-speed compression ratio of the T70. Unfortunately, this is beyond my level of experience, so I can't speculate on the matter.

If you do get rid of your T70 let me know, I may know some people who would want it. If its not messed up. :bigthumb:
