Stock ECU, Will it MAX OUT ?
Ok so im rebuilding my N/A with everything ready to run boost. Supercharged boost that is. I would like to go with a hlaf bridgeport, and 720cc primaries 860cc secondaries, and an upgraded fuel pump, with all this done, the supercharge will be a ported M90 mounted on the drivers side, after the throttle body running through an intercooler, basically im following sonicRat, and doing it the right way. My question is will i max out the ECU, and if i do is there anything i can do other then going stand alone or will i have no choice but to go stand alone

4x720 is pretty close to as much as the stock ECU can deal with using an S-AFC. I'm also mounting my M90 ontop of the engine, removing all the stock intakes, and using the supercoupe intake running behind my upper intake, then the outlet goes out the supercoupe exit, into my IC, and back the passanger side into my upper manifold.

You trying to get an NA ECU to run supercharged?
That's wrong already... -Ted |
aesop rock...?
ok.. i know your not aesop...DAMN THAT GUY IS A POET!!! lyricist, freak'n out there too! ok na ecu no good! if you want i'll sell ya my ecu from my 20b-tt motor 75.oo AND im in NY! if your really aesop rock its 50.oo plus some defjux stuff!!! too bad your 10 years too young to be aesop :( |
i wasthinking using a turbo ECU, how in the hell would that work though, umm 75 sounds nice, let me see if it will work, i know the stock ECU will just crash, but what would i have to do using a 20b-tt ECU to make it work, $75 is a lot nicer then $1,100
|
the 20b-tt ecu will have a curve close to a supercharger if you find the right PSI (pulley) but you will have to stay at the level
example.. 12psi pulley (dont know the size)= 10psi turbo boost rule of thumb...superchargers take power to make power if you want the ECU PM me... |
im interested but what about the wiring harness differences?

My second choice would be converting to turbo ecu/afm/pressure sensor. You should be able to grab the parts for around 100-125 dollars. You'll need to run 550cc injectors to match the t2 afm, and might as well upgrade to a t2 or fd fuel pump. |
i was thinking t2 injectors, well actually i was thinking a bit bigger then 550, but i already had the T2 fuel pump in mind, so if i convert the afm, pressure sensor, and fuel system it will be compatible? im spending quite a few thousand on the car during the rebuild, i don't have another thousand to go with a Haltch or Microtech

if your supercharger matches the curve the stock twins have then its more then possible it's perfect.

aright thanks, yea i know the stock ECU would die, im aware of that, i was wondering what i could do with A stock ecu as in not going standalone, now for gathering parts
