Solid exhaust port sleeves
are there any available..
sleeves without the inlet holes that provides for the egr and acv... this will eliminate me havin to plug the port at the bottom of the aluminum exhaust housing.. and further eliminate any turbulence that they may create even if it isnt substantial... |
Just fill it from the top using Devcon, and sand it smooth - if there WERE any solid inserts available, they'd be alot more expensive than a tub of Devcon
|
isnt there a concern for expansion of the sleeves if filled...
|
nope, mine was, and they're still firmly in place 20k miles afterwards

Like these?
https://www.rx7club.com/rotary-car-performance-77/custom-exhaust-sleeves-explained-120200/ They may cost more than a tube of Devcon but if the live more than 2 minutes running they have far exceeded the lifespan of Devcon in the exhaust passage. |
Ooooh....
Feck Just went to check up on my engine (its actually in storage at the moment) and it's gotten SOAKED by rain, its chucking out rusty-coloured water every time I turn it - Time for a rebuild methinks!!! |
