Run Pre-mix by hand or via RA OMP Adapter kit?
What are your opinions/insights/experiences on the subject? Is there a difference as far as purpose in your view? What are the pro & cons between the two methods? Which will provide enough "coverage" for better engine health/performance?

if you are still running with the 12a premix.......or 13b do both..ra omp is better for idle and premix is best for wide open throttle

Do your engine a favor and premix. The factory OMP system is too fragile. 9 times out of 10 when I build a motor for someone their OMP injection nozzles are shot. Even if that weren't the case, the factory system does an extremely poor job of lubricating the engine...

I already started running pre-mix but I'm making plans to bolster this method with the RA Aviation pre-mix adapter to feed pre-mix on top of it.
I'm running the LUCAS semi-synthetic right now at a 1oz per gallon ration. What is the ideal ratio that the majority run? |
the OMP system on anything post 1986 only targets certain areas of the engine and will never offer the lubrication benefits of premixing the fuel directly, which lubricates everything equally.
