Has anyone had work done by this machine shop?

I've never heard of it and I only live a few hours away.

Following up on this... I was chatting with a rotary builder and tuner I respect today. He casually mentioned his balancer in conversation. Turns out he's been using Rotary Science and actually prefers him over Chip!!

You learn something new every day :)

I'll probably hit him (Rotary Science) up for balancing on my next rebuild.

Apparently his stuff isn't as shiny and aesthetically fancy as Chip's, but it's very (very) precise and functional. Supposedly scalloped rotors and a stock port are absolutely magical together!

You can find him at rotary_science on instagram if you have one. I know he was moving shops at some point as he is expanding. I've had two motors with the assembly balanced by himself and they are pretty spectacular. Typically gets the static weights of the rotors within a single gram of each other and the entire assembly from 1/10 - 1/4 gram. A++ machine work in my opinion. I believe his name is Michael Lambiase.

How did the work you had done turn out?

I had some work done by him. it isnt in a running engine yet but he is very knowledgeable, showed me the process and why/how it works. He is a full time machinist so its safe to say he is doing it properly.

I had him press in bearings and a few misc things, good communication - good turn around time. good quality

thanks for posting about this. he definitely seems knowledgeable and (perhaps a little more important) experienced.
