Rotary Powered Fiat 124 Spyder?
Okay, I have an old Fiat Spyder...it's clean, and it runs, but it's just not really all that fast (or reliable for that matter). Has anyone ever heard of someone putting a rotary into one of those? It's a 124 spyder...1971 model. I would REALLY Love to have something in it that would make it a bit quicker. If any of y'all have done this, or heard of someone doing this conversion, I would like to know. Thanks for your time!

There's a guy on the forum putting one in a midget. You can find a link to his site and a bunch of others here: small cars with big motors

i remember looking at one of those and thinking it was too narrow? measure it up, and if a rotary will fit go for it

Grassroots Motorsports, (I am sure they have a webpage) did a huge write-up on thier Ro-Spit. It was an N/A 13b into a Triumph Spitfire. That's pretty close to what you want, it sounds like.:)

hey, thanks guys. I'm probably thinking about possibly doing it sooner than later now. I went out there today to start it up, and I saw oil smoke seeping out and burning off, and I was hearing a rattle. Plus, I heard a rattling noise. I think I at least blew a cam gasket, and I may have thrown a rod. Bad news for the Fiat. but I have a feeling that the next motor that goes into it will be a rotary. Thanks again y'all!!
