SPEED_NYC 02-04-02 05:18 PM

I thought Ari was selling/sold the street class car and was finishing up the red back halved car to compete in the outlaw class? there was a guy from Greece on the forum saying that he bought the drivetrain from Ari's old car.

either way, 9.62 to 9.11 is a big jump if this is the same car. Great time!!

Coolidge 02-04-02 10:32 PM

Anyone know where there's a video of this?

DELTA_Rotary 02-04-02 10:48 PM

Damn if that run was made on street tires JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt it ;) Mickey thompson 26 x 10.5 x15 will take him into the 8s if he is not backhalfed yet. I wonder if he is backhalfed yet

i was at the shop three weeks ago and the car still had the stock drivetrain.

Sounds like he might be kicking some Quick 8 Ass!!!! Those DSM boys in the Quick class better watch out.

WOW! What a jump in performance! To drop .5 and only pick up a few MPH is amazing! He must have some new suspension parts or tranny. He cut a 1.45 60' on the 9.6 run right? He must have gotten a 1.2 or close to go 9.11. Sounds like someone just left the street class and went to quick huh? No way he can run that setup in the street class! I'd be interested to see what he did differently;)

HOLY COW! 9.58 was his previous best (at least in an event)

Chris told me once that he ran like 8.9s w/ slicks and sequential transmission .... and that was a year ago.

The RP crew is probably the most upfront and professional people when it comes to Bidness (texan for bussiness) that i know of. From Sky and Vicki (who answers the phone) Rocky (who takes my orders, and suggest X-mas gifts to my grilfriend for her) Ari (who sat down and planned a motor for me.) and finally Chris, who to me has been a wealth of information. I give them MAD COOKIE PROPS. :patriot:

JoeD 02-05-02 01:55 AM

what are the specs on his car?? as i recall, he didn't have any outrageous shit done to his car. last time i checked it was just T-78 / aggressive street porting / haltec / 1.8 bar / suspension and rear end goodies....right??

anything else im missing?? i remember he was running mid-high 9s and still streetable. what about now?? streetable??

thanks.

Please disregard this man, he is an idiot.

Coolidge 02-05-02 02:13 AM

I think they have specs on their website www.rx7.com

The previous best run of 9.58 was with the stock transmission, but with drag slicks. I think his previous best with the stock tranny and street tires was like 9.92 or something?

He could have run in 8's before with a sequential transmission, but that would put him out of the street class and into the outlaw class.

Saintdog 02-05-02 01:48 PM

I would think alot of people on this forum are close to what ARI has in his car (which is not much compared to the other street class cars). Anyone else in the 9's and low 10's on this board?

Greg 02-05-02 01:55 PM

Last I saw Ari was using T88 with mucho boost and NOS. It wouldnt surpise me if he did go 9.11 cause adam did 8.9 on 26 x 10s also

crazyness :bightumb:

Import Convert 02-05-02 04:23 PM

8's on a 1.3L engine.... damn. That is hardcore. My Dad's 10 second car is a 528ci Hemi (and it scares the shit out of me when I'm driving it). That is some serious power/ci going on there. The 13b is like 87 or 88ci right?
