PP n/a 13b???
si i finaly got the 1200 datsun in the works ,since i found a car with a trailer i decided to go with a preripheral port 13b set up.
siguel told me that the fastest all-motor Pports on the island are pushing the 340 hp mark with the highest hes witnes in the 350 hp range! i have no clue how the hell they do this but im gonna try for 330hp using rx8 rotors and weber carbs. heres the Q: will the weber 51ADI from racing beat flow enough? or should i go with a custom carb(one of them custom 58adi) or a holley that can flow past 650cfm ? |

I've only seen one manifold for putting a Holley carb on a peripheral port engine, and I don't have it in my car yet. :) If anyone else has done it, i am curious to see it. |
el frances(machine shop in Puerto Rico) makes one (cast aluminum) but its like $400

I vote for EFI and 55mm throttlebodies. But thats just my thing.

i have seen like 4 or 5 differnt holly to peripheral intake setups, i still suggest using a predator carb like i will be, it adjusts itself for intake flow and will flow up to i think like 930 cfm

Interesting manifold there Kenku! Thanks you all for the info. I'd honestly never heard of it being done before.
Of coruse, someone was bound to do it, used holleys can be had for $50 and jets for $3 a pair, as opposed to "grab your ankles and grunt" pricing for Weber stuff. I don't see how it'd fit under an RX-7 hood - mine *baaarely* does, and it's a lot shorter. My runners are also a lot longer, arr arr arr midrange grunt :) |

any liks to this carb? |
There are a ton of 13b pp with holley set ups in pr and down here in florida and mostly all of them are running on huge shots of nos also. There is a 69 corolla down here called "Don Tole" running a 13b pp with a holley 750cmf with like a 300shot of nos and he runs low 9's and high 8's.

62mm Terminator
1 Attachment(s)
Here is a picture of the carb I put together for my P-Port project. The carb uses 62mm throttle plates instead of the standard 48mm. More air flow will increase your horsepower potential. There are several aftermarket carbs on the market but, the 2 barrel style carbs are much easier to tune. The Holley is a great carb but, man it is a real pain in the butt to tune. I have both 9:7:1 and 10:1 compression rotors and I am looking for as much horsepower as I can make from a normally aspirated engine so I'll start with the RX8 Rotors.
I provided pictures of both carbs so you can see the size difference in the carbs. Both carbs have float bowl extensions that I custom built to retain additional fuel in case I want to run Alcohol later. Albert |
what carb is that?
|
It is a 62mm Terminator II carb that can be purchased from Jack Sachette at Jaycee Enterprise. His number is (714)848-9898.

If your interested in one of these carbs give Jack a call. They only sell the carbs if want a manifold made let me know and I can provide pictures of manifolds I modified or had custom made. The one I custom made for my car is really nice. Made it from steel then had it chromed.
