i'm in the middle of saving up to build a ultimate 13b all-motor setup....i choose to go Pport.. but before i make final and figure out my buget,i would like some advise from those who did it...basiclly i can use what ever i can from the 6 port 13b that i have right know but from the top of you guys head, what more will i have to do/get to top of a p-port motor...should i buy housings or turn my housings in to p-port???i'm thinking 4,000$ should make it possible??i want to hear opinions from thoose who done it and are intrested...any comments please:Wconfused

Mill rotors for 3mm carbon apex seals(remember to buy the right springs too)
FD oil regulators
Turbo oil pump
clearence rotors
lighten rotors
balance assembly
heavy duty clutch and P/P
Rx-8 stationary gears
deep groove rotor bearings
underdrive waterpulley
eccentric shaft oil jets mods(#200 weber jet)
I know i've forgot something

I made my own housings from a 6-port, works great.

is there a website with step by step instructions or how to's???or any videos out there..???.....by the way.."kim" what do you have that motor in ...u raced it??

if you're making a full peripheral engine (not semi in any way), then it doesn't matter what you start with as the side ports are all going to be blocked anyway.

kim gave you a good start with everything but the possible exception of the oil pump. if you have an SE engine, then you already have the best pump that the older motors can bolt on. the only upgrade may be to get a hardened pump.

if you care to, you might condsider either getting your rotors and shaft lightened, or use the S5 with carbon seals (or question the Renesis) rotating assembly.

The 13B i made is in my racecar.
If You plan on putting it in your streetcar I hope you have earplugs and lots of money for gas.

Seriously DON'T do it, they are not everyday, grocery getter, stop and go traffic friendly AT ALL.

Hah true, I would do it just to piss people off.

Actually last year i took the racecar, with full combat vinyls, for a shakedown test on the street of our local redneck surburbiaville mainstreet. That was fun :lol2:

what would be a estimate in sending my motor"stock 13B 6 port"to a shop that will make housings out of mine and build me a p port turnkey from using as much things from my motor!!and also whatever else??????

ikari899 05-22-07 06:40 PM

lots of money. but just remember a Pport motor takes alot of custom frabrication its not just the motor. intake and exhaust must be completely made from scratch. the motor is the easy part.

don't they sell intake kits...cause i'm goona run a ida..i have a 48 but i need bigger....and can't you just use ordanairy headers

A ordinary header will let the engine run, but not nearly good enough compared to a custom made header. P-ports hate full exhaust systems as well, so that is going to be a real challenge for a street car. Other things to consider is a transmission that will like shifting at 10k rpms, and a flywheel/clutch combo that wont explode at 10k rpms. A dogbox, with a 7.25 tilton, or even a 5.5 tilton clutch will fit the bill. If you ever need a nice custom built header, intake, or fully built p-port engine, let me know, we can build it for you.

lets talk money first...and then>what can you do with my 13b 6 port??

ziig 06-04-07 02:15 PM

dont street drive....apart from drivabality there is durability too ..PP needs rebuild regularly
