nos spray on IC

I always hear people talking about spraying your IC with NO2, to cool the air inside. has anyone tried this? dose anyone have any feed back to offer?

Why not spray it IN the intercooler, make it a lot more fun ;)

SingleTurboRx7 07-31-02 03:07 AM

some race classes only allow you 1 power adder, this would not be a 2nd power adder. the NX site is claiming 52hp,
I will believe it when I see it

RXTASY1 07-31-02 08:51 AM

I usually cut peoples claims in half to get a realistic number!:p:
I guess 25 extra HP would be OK too!

yeah only allow 1 power adder thats why im going to use aquamist injection cuase its not a power adder.
but will let me turn up the boost and help fight off detanation

SingleTurboRx7 07-31-02 04:19 PM

what is an aquamist injection? I am guessing its a water spray.

is this only for frontmounts? or can you use it with a SMIC?

Rx7-TT 08-07-02 12:26 PM

lol

i think it ads like 52 hp or somewhere in that high range is because after it floats through the intercooler the intake sucks it up and its used...i could understand that...my brothers turbo integ r does the same...he found out that thats why his car was making 41 extra hp...im thinking that with the spray and no sucking of it up...you should get about 15 or so.

RXTASY1 08-07-02 02:44 PM

It doesn't spray it IN the intercooler. It sprays it ON the intercooler.

rx7-tt is saying that the integra sucks the N2O into the intake as it is floating around in the engine bay AFTER passing through the fins of the intercooler and enters into his engine bay.

At that point it is IN the intercooler...

I think if CO2 got IN your intake, you would blow your engine!
