new to the fd3 and need some help!

i picked up a 94 rx-7 for a decent price and it had all these mods that the dealer didnt know about. all i know is, it has an apexi full computer unit, some super induction box for an air filter and some kind of an exaust upgrade. it also has the greddy elbow and piping and a greddy booste controller. thats all i found so far. now my question is, when i start the car it idles pretty high and its not contsant. between 1400 and 1500 rpms to be exact. i dont have a guide to go by for the apexi computer unit some im lost. also when i come to a stop and put the car in nuetral the rpms drop real low and then jump back up. it stalls every now and then when i stop. and the last question. i want to know how to stop my car from bogging out at high rpms when i give it some throttle. thanks

sounds like vaccum related.

^^^I agree. If the vaccum lines have never been replaced it is reccomended that you change them.

This should have been posted in the FD/ Third gen forum for basic car info, and in the PFC (Apexi) forum for your ECU info.

The ecu controls idle but many times needs you manual assistance to help it. This happens as the car ages or due to modifications. The idle problem is one of the most asked about by newbs. Searching will reveal many posts about it.

The engine almost stalling and be a combination of poor idle control and a bad dashpot.

Go to the 3rd gen forum and in one of the sticky threads, find the location of the
factory manual, download it, and study section "F" on engine controls.

Go to the PFC forum, and find and download the Apexi PFC manual and study it.
