Need some advice and opinions

Hey guys, as the title says, I need a little help here. My buddy has a first gen RX7 (I think its a '85? Not sure) and hes trying to decide what path to take with his modifications to it. His first one was a 12a car, but he got rid of that one for one with a CLEAN interior and a 13b. He's been bobbling ideas around for different paths to take with this car and I dont know which way he would be best off, so I figured I would do some research and try to help him make up his mind. After searching around a bit and not finding squat, I figured I should ask.

So anyway, I was kinda wondering what you guys think on a few things. He was thinking about turboing it or going NA, going for straight line speed or twisty fun. More recently I think hes been thinking about doing an NA build and using it for road/AutoX courses. First off, I was wondering motor longevity and reliability wise. I know turbo motors like to blow apex seals, what about a build NA one? How long would the seals last on a built NA car versus a turbo car? Secondly, what is the most power you could get from a NA motor realistically? Lastly, how hard are rotary engines to rebuild? We are both pretty good with our hands, but I dont want to get in over our heads. But yeah, anyone thats got $.02 to throw in, please do so, thanks guys!
