Intake Manifold Port Matching

Intake Manifold Port Matching
I recently gasket matched my UIM to LIM and LIM to Engine. The mismatch on the UIM to LIM was very small, but the mismatch on the LIM primary ports to the engine was substantial. I've read a number of threads......it fights reversion......reversion is bad.....reversion is good. I realize it will be a minor improvement if any (Yeah, I'm bored while the car is getting painted). Bottom line, did I screw up the intake? The engine is a 13b-re, half-bridge, with a GT4088R turbo.

do you have any pics of your work. port matching can increase flow which can increase HP. its a fine line though because you can also decrease flow and lower the charge velocity. which will lower HP. with out a flow bench you never know. but hey who has a flow bench. you are probably fine. but post up some pics

You didn't screw anything up what's more of a restriction is your stock manifold https://www.rotary-works.com/intake-.../RW-IM-COSMO-4 I'd look into this it will flow a whole lot better. I have the FD version but SemiPport haven't ran it yet but very nice piece. My buddy ran the stock cosmo intake with a Wilson 90mm throttle body and was making in excess of 1000rwhp so overcame the short comings of the stock manifold by just throwing more boost at it. Can't wait to see your car back up love it. Also I'd get a FD metal intake gasket and match it to the cosmo ports those paper gasket will blow out with higher boost pressures.
