How much hp 13b Bridgy
I just got a 76 j spec 13b core low miles... I am thinking about doing the following mods... any one out there dyno a similer motor??? 91 convertable high compression rotors, 3mm seals, lightend rotors, motor balenced, turbo stationary gears, with bridged ported 4 port side housings, and exaughst porting... I will run a RB header, custom duel 2 1/2 in pipes to a rb muffler, RB intake for holly carb match ported to side housings, I dont know what size carb 650? it might need more... set of coils, 12a front cover, electronic ignition, light wieght RB flywheel and counter wieght, a street/ strip rb clutch, I have about 1/2 the parts I need... GOD IT SUCKS TO BE POOR!!! I will also strap on a 125 shot of good old n20 jetted for a v8... any one ever dynoed a simler setup???

Judge Ito, did you run the 13b bp N20 combo over the qtr.... how did it go? Steel seals I assume.

gosh... got a decent bellhousing or scattershield I trust.
what are the specs on the exhaust, ie: primaries diameter, length, main pipe (if at all...) if you dont mind me asking... (welcome to pm me if you want to keep it quiet, well, the specs at least...). Any all-motor times, and what kind of rubber. Gosh I'm a nosey b@$+@r& aren't I.... |
Do any of you N/A BP guys know if the 6th ports are even useful on a secondary bridgeport? Or would it be best to use a 4 port plate (turbo rotor housings for exhaust porting of course)
And Ito: any opinion about carbon seals? Also what is your redline? |

node just start with a pre-'86 engine...
|
uhm, GSL-SE's still had them. I thought it was non-RX-7 13Bs that didn't
And that didn't answer much of my question |

wow 9.2 is fasttttt!!!!! I could probably only afford to go mid to low 11's at the most.

have a look at Judge Ito's chassis... (I found some pics on the web)... now I know he does it. Is it fair to say that there isn't much hiroshima sheet metal left in that car Mr Judge?
Tymmerx7, low 11's is nothing to be sneezed at from a full bodied street car, regardless of whether it is all-motor, bottled or turboed. |

Originally posted by Judge Ito Buzz I'm not quit sure what your point is. I never said it was full metal or a street car. I posted it was a drag car. Usually that means back half or full chassis. The Rx3 that we are currently running is my brothers Rx3. The pics you saw on the web, is my New proyect. 1977 Rx3 SP full chassis Chrome Moly, Cosmo Jspec bridgeport engine, FI, alcohol N2o, G-Force clutchless tranny, My Rx3 is not finished yet. I could tell you that, to really make my Rx3 run in the 8's with the N/A N20 set up I need to be extremely light. My Rx3 is 300lbs lighter then my brothers Rx3. here in the states many people have tried to run really fast with the N/A N20 set up, but only 2 out of many have touched the 8 second zone. 1 was a 2nd gen.(Partytime) P-port N20 haltech 8.95@144mph and another 2nd gen.(Pimar) out of Florida just the other day ran 8.9 @140mph. Ill be working reall hard to enter the 8 second N/A N20 club..... |

Sorry Judge, I wasn't trying to bag you / your statements / your car or anything, when I saw the pics of your car I was hell stoked (huge grins all 'round!) - that is a very seriously well built and damn impressive car. I suppose if anything I was trying to make the point that Tymme shouldn't be discouraged with "just 11's" that others are getting hell quick times - the "others" have extreme high performance vehicles.
The quickest rx3 I've hard of is the Pac Performance rx3 sedan, 8.0 something @ 174mph - 20bt. Retains original style nose cone and is a back halved car. I shudder to think how they would go with a chassis as good as yours! |

Originally posted by peejay Oh come on. FC's are annoyingly common. RX-3s are rare, they're lots lighter, and they look about 5,000 times cooler :D |
Originally posted by Judge Ito I say Rx3's are  |
