How many miles do you get Per tank on 2 gen s4 s5

I am getting 220-240 miles a tank. is that normal? incase i need a tune up..

I usually get around 280 or more per full tank of gas. But it completely depends on driving style and traffic conditions.

I have kept a record of every drop of gas I have put into my car. Since my rebuild in September last year I have averaged 19.71 MPG. My longest distance for one tank was 366 miles, that was during the break in period when I was keeping the revs under 4000 rpm.

It's a bit low, but if you're doing a lot of stop-and-go driving, it's normal on a "small tank" FC3S.

If you have the "big tank", you're in serious trouble.

small tank = a little over 16 gallons?
big tank = a little over 19 gallons?

s4
86-88 s4
89-91 s5

Hrm, I never knew about the s5 having a 19 gal. tank. I think i'm getting pretty bad mpg. I'm guessing around 220. I have a bad fuel sensor, so everytime I hit half a tank or so my fuel guage drops to empty, lol.

My S4 NA with a street port recently drove 340 miles @ 75 mph on a tank, taking the fuel level not all the way down, and it figured to be about 27 mpg.

City driving with the warm up cycles and such eat the gas more quickly, and any spirited driving thrown in the mix will bring it down below 20.

My S5 either has the small tank or my fuel gauge is inaccurate. I almost always run past the time the fuel light comes on. The most I have ever put in at one fill up has been 16.848 gal.

To see how far I can go, the next time I get low on gas I may throw a gascan in the back so I don't get stranded and just try running it until it begins to have pickup problems.

US-spec models should adhere to the above rule, but I know the Euro-spec FC3S does not.
Hell, maybe some of the US-spec cars got mixed up?

If you do drain the fuel tank beyond 15.0 gallons, it's a safe bet you do have the larger 19 gallon fuel tank.
I have a 1987 Turbo II, and I have never gotten it to go beyond 15 gallons on the refill.
My biggest refill was 14.5 to 14.7 gallons.
This is going beyond the E, and the car was sputtering.
On the small gas tank, it is very hard to go under 2 gallons of gas without the car complaining.
