What do you mean by time your turbos? When they start making boost, where peak boost is, etc?

That is determined by many factors, but basically by the size of the turbo. Generally, the bigger the turbo, the more power it makes for a given boost level, and the higher RPM it spools up and peaks boost at. (and vice versa for smaller turbos).

i think when he said "time your turbos" he was referring to a turbo timer (correct me if im wrong). a turbo timer is a computer that keeps you car idling for a certain amount of time (that the computer determines) after you take the key out of the ignition. after you do some hard driving with a turboed car, the turbo is very hot. it uses the same oil as the engine to keep it from overheating. the idling keeps the oil circulating and allows the turbo to cool down.
