fuel sump
I recently came across a thread about blown engines and one of the problems that contibute to the blown engine is water in the fuel system. Being in the aviation I remember having something in the airplane that will help make sure there's no water in our gas. In the airplanes we ahve this thing called tank sump which is basically a valve with a spring that you can push and twist to open then let go and it will close. It sits in the lowest point of the fuel tank and of the engine. If we can install one of this things in the gas thank in our cars that will guarantee that gas will be water free. Since water is heavier than gas and it sits at the bottom so when you open the valve it will come out easily. This is just an idea nad I am not expert so feel free to criticize my idea so maybe together we can come out with something better to improve/protect our engines. Currently I cant try to do this in my car since I am driving it everyday and I dont know where to get the parts from but I know someone out there have the resources.
