Fuel pump

Ok dumb question I am about to buy a walbro 255 fuel pump I still have stock injectors on my car so will I also need to put a regulator in as well?

flaco 07-21-13 01:40 PM

you dont need to. but will be great if you do

Bradrun 07-21-13 02:19 PM

Ok so If I buy the pump and install it I wouldn't have to put one on right away. And can later

BLACK MAMBA 07-21-13 02:34 PM

That's correct, no need to add unless you want to.

Ok thanks cause I figure shit 90 for a bigger fuel pump isn't bad at all and I can probably swing that this week

I assume ur running this walbro on a T2? Like flaco said, it'd be nice, but honestly if ur not making over 300ish HP it's not needed. If you have S4 rails I would recommend replacing ur FPD though. Also, if you can do some research there are better pumps out there that are more dependable and aren't knock offs

Yes it's a 88 turbo 2 with a full 3 inch exhaust rtek7 1.5 a Garrett a/r 42 turbo but only pushing 5 psi at the moment to not blow my motor

I mean, for the amount of money ur already gonna spend on the walbro might as well get a Aeromotive stealth 340 or similar it's only like $50 more, and you don't have to worry about getting a knockoff. That walbro will poop itself once you go to 12-15 psi, assuming you have the injector to do so.
