Those who are having overheating problems with a front mount IC should upgrade the radiator . I should've done this a LONG LONG time ago. I had to go with an electric fan since keeping the shroud will make the piping a bitch. I was running bwteen 220- 230 on the freeway at about 3500 rpm. Redline waterwetter helped a little but not much. I had to run with the heater on when on the freeway . Try that in Hawaii weather!
I ordered an aluminum 3 core radiator 3" end tanks, 23" width x 19" high. It's polished end tanks outshines my IC ! The welds are really nice. It fits perfectly . This thing is huge compared to the stock ones. The temp gauge NEVER moved above 195 deg. even on the freeway at 3500 rpm driving for 20 minutes *WITH* A/C on. I was highly impressed with the radiator! Sitting in traffic *WITH* A/C on , the gauge reads a tad over 185 deg. Now, this is in humid Hawaii weather at an ambient temp. of 90 deg. It is the best $400 I spent on the car.

Are you running an electric fan?

I am scraping my electric fan and going back to the stock fan and shroud.

I'm using the AFCO. You can have it custom made to your spec. Such as inlet/outlet size and location, radiator width, height etc.
I'm using the Fiero fan and it works really well. The GM electric motor on the electric fans are very heavy duty. If and when the motor fails, *ANY* GM motor will fit since they all use the same motor . The Fiero shroud fits the 23 x 19 radiator perfectly. MUCH better than any electric fan I've used before. The stock fan with shroud works well but I couldn't use it because of the IC piping. You need to block all open areas around the radiator . If you are using an electric fan, buy some weatherstripping foam and cover the areas around the shroud. You don't want any air coming through the front to go around the radiator than through it. I bought a bunch of 2" foam and covered all areas needing it.

are your oil temps still staying OK? or did those go up with the FMIC too?

When the water temps went up, everything else did as well. Now, everything is cooler than before I had the stock fan.
