Free NGK Plugs

Not exactly but close enough......

Did you know that you get a 2 year warranty with your NKG Plugs when bought at Advanced Auto? I talked to the manager today, "it's a no questions asked warranty". I took advantage of that warranty today. This is great news for myself since I need to swap out my plugs every two weeks.

:bigthumb:

FD Rey 05-02-05 11:30 AM

Yeap, I've been doing it for a while now. I don't think a lot of people take advantage of that.

SPOautos 05-02-05 11:33 AM

wow, I didnt know that....looks like my next plugs are coming from my local Advanced Auto lol

SkylarNeedsParts 05-02-05 11:34 AM

i will now that i know :)..oh and rey i hope you know that your rims are in all of my wet dreams :)

SexyRX 05-02-05 11:42 AM

Wow, I didn't know Advanced Auto sold NGK! Damn!!! The bur9eqp's right? I'm going down there today and stocking up...glad you posted this, it's save me lots of $$$$ between runnin' through them on 2 FD's.

HAI-TEK7 05-02-05 11:47 AM

Yep, i'm a manager at an advance auto parts store, just go in and say you want to defective exchange these plugs, and you'll get a new set.

Oh..being a manager i get them for under $5 , not too shabby :-)

Yeah this seems too good to be true

we really cant, thats why we just exchange them.

FD Rey 05-02-05 11:57 AM

I've been doing it for over a year now. Just take them back and get new ones for free. That's why they have a two year replacement warranty. It's NGK's money for all they care.

oneflytrini 05-02-05 12:23 PM

Holy shit, you guys just saved me tons of $$. Here comes that T51R :bigthumb:

Gamezilla 05-02-05 12:47 PM

If you keep showing up to the same store over and over they start catching on to the little scam there. Works good if you put at least a couple months time inbetween returning the plugs.

RedR1 05-02-05 12:52 PM

So wait.. . . . does the 2 year warranty come from the first plugs you buy. . . .or is it on the replacement plugs, then the new replacement plugs. . . . . this could be a little extra lunch money if that were the case :D

LUPE 05-02-05 01:01 PM

The warranty covers the warrantied plugs too, not just the first ones.

SpeedKing 05-02-05 01:10 PM

Here I am .............. and thats Cheap Bastard!!!

This must be a special deal with Advanced Auto. I checked at Kragen/Shucks/Checker, and they don't have the same warranty.

It seems as if you're the only one who likes to waste money on plugs.

POS7 05-02-05 05:06 PM

ugh, the nearest advance auto must be 1500 miles away

Thanks for clearing that up Adam -- I was just about to ask that. Maybe PepBoys or AutoZone might have a similar deal?

TwinTurbo_SE7EN 05-02-05 07:21 PM

yep, been doing that for a while. They do however catch on and will limit you. last time I went in, I was asked how many sets of plugs I had recieved from them...I told them that I had no idea. They said "we can only give you so many."

LUPE 05-02-05 07:29 PM

The customer is always right. They last thing they want is a someone making a scene. Some stores will be easier to deal with than others.
