Cryotreating engine components

Has anyone ever experemented with cryotreating various engine components? Would cryotreating the e-shaft allow for a higher-reving engine if all other mod's were also done correctly (balanceing and clearing etc) Would a cryotreated rotor housing be less likly to warp if accidently overheated?
