FC Fuel System Help

At what point should the fuel lines be upgraded to larger lines? Who here has tapped them out?

My car will probably put down around 400 RWHP when its all said and done, but I like to have a little bit of cushion though. So I am trying to build everything to support 500 RWHP.

Any real world suggestions out there?

Well, it isn't the "real world", but here is a shot anyway. This is the Evil Aviator lame rule of thumb that hopefully isn't any more stupid than anything else on the internet:

Pressure line inside diameter in inches = SQRT(BHP/5080)

Suction line inside diameter in inches = SQRT(BHP/3400)

Those who live in the "real world" are welcome to compare to the above to determine just how far out of reality I am. :)

BTW, no engine calculations use RWHP, so you may as well put away the car magazines and get used to thinking in terms of BHP. ;)

RWHP works good for me, because its very easily messure on an chassis dyno, I have quite a hard time messuring BHP. :)

Having done this, 500rwhp is achievable with the stock fuel system lines but will need both larger primaries and secondaries as well as a Supra MK4 fuel pump for the job. Use that and you'll be ok. That's about the limit for it, though.

Thanks, just what I was wondering, I have larger primaries, secondaries, and the pump.
