Experts quick question for you

Hello,

I hope this is the right site for my question; I'm doing a couple of upgrades to my 3rd' Gen. Heres the thread with the list: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=289747

Can I install all of these at the same time with out damaging the new engine, or messing up the car in any other way. Please let me know as soon as possible, because the build day is ever so approaching. The car is completely stock, except for the Greddy bost controller, and a air/fuel, boost gauge. Thanks Alot.

That sounds like a safe list, so long as you get it tuned before you drive it hard. You'll also need an IC before you turn up the boost.

Tranny cooler?? Just wondering.. is your car automatic?? I know many high power 3rd gens and you really don't need a tranny coolers.. I do know that automatic 3rd gens do. It looks the same as R1 dual oil cooler set up.. Tranny cooler is located on the passenger side..

If you car is auto.. than not much you can do.. PFC is only for manual tranny..

If you have manual, I say don't worry about the tranny cooler.. spend that money on IC and tuning.. just as Maxcooper mentioned earlier.

So the Power FC is only for Manual transmission? If that's the case what will I do as far as upgrades?

Not much.. That might be the reason why you might of picked up your 7 at really good price..

I'm not an expert on Auto tranny 3rd gens.. but what's I've heard is you can't do that much.. otherwise, you will risk of detonation.. As stock auto ECU might not be tune to run higher boost nor full exhaust.. But like I said, I'm not an expert..

I would do all the normal reliability mods.. upgrade the radiator, change out your vac. lines, and change your oil, coolant, and tranny fluid regularly.. By doing so, you will still have a fun little car.. Automatic 7's aren't bad.. Some prefer auto on the track..

I have an auto FD and was able to put on the FMIC, intake,Cat,Dp,and boost controller and gauges, but I'm having the auto swapped right now to a manual so that I can run an Apexi Pfc, and midpipe, etc. etc. You can only go so far on the mods with an auto before you run into problems.
