Which engine has better performance to cost

Hey guys I’m new to rotaries and part way through a rotary swap in my bug. Being tight on money at the moment I have bought a Bridge ported 13b out of a 1975 Rx-4. What I was wondering is in the long run would it be betting buying a new engine after the conversion is completed or just modifying the current one.

Cheers for your help

Jason

12a or 13b na with a bridgeport and a 100 shot of NOS =P enjoy with a a 2100 lb bug? or is it lighter?

Think it's originally about 850Kg = 1870lb, but after the weight of the engine, radiator and coolant it'd probity be just under 950Kg which is roughly 2100lb.

Well your average bridgeport n/a can get you anywhere between 210-230 hp. Probably more with advance timing and race fuel. (Careful with the ports because at some point it will not be streetable, imagine a high lift cam in a chevy motor sounds like). Then hit it with as much Nitrous you want.
