Each EGT is gonna be a bit different cause it will depend on where the probe is located.

Is that on a turbo application? Where is he measuring the temp at? The downpipe, turbine inlet or at the exhaust port?

EGTs depend on the mods on the car and where the probe is placed.

that is non turbo. I must withdraw my post that was irisponsable of me. there is alot of things that may change that.
turbo should be between 1500-1600 but do not realy on that what so ever. go to the dyno 1 time and make sure your fat enough on the fuel. and see what the egt says when the fuel is good then use this when ever tuning. as long as it is not a huge mod after the dyno run you should be able to use that reading. But beware if you bolt on a part that might change that like different exuast this will change so us your judgement.
